Tension rod cupboard organizers. Is there nothing these little pieces of springs and metal cannot do? I am a sucker for anything DIY and customizable and thanks to Martha Stewart this little project is both.

I have been debating moving this shindig to Pinterest, since it is easier to use for my purposes and has a lot of flexibility that Tumblr doesn’t offer (sorry Tumblr, I love ya, but why can’t I change my default tumblog??). I am torn, so I am going to be using both for a while and see which one I like better in the end. I will keep you posted, in the meantime, check out our Pinterest!

Trench composting is as simple as it sounds: just dig a trench about 12” deep and fill it with 4”-6” of kitchen scraps before recovering with soil. Depending on the material and soil type, the scraps will usually take between one month and one year to break down. If you’ll be regularly composting scraps using this method, you may want to develop a long-term plan for your garden.
